It is a great cause for satisfaction on my part to be able to present the development of MOSAICOS PLANAS,S.A. and remember all those who have enabled us to make 70 years of history.

     The company was foundede by MATEU and MIQUEL PLANAS PUJADAS in 1,931, initially devoted to the production of hydraulic mosaic, true craftsmanship of the time, the manufacture of which, even now a painstaking and artisan task, stood out  right from the start for its design, quality and finish.

     The world of industry envolved, a new period of growth began with its industrialization and expansion : the sixties arrived, Terrazzo was the new type of paving, with a completely different manufacturing system, but the roots of innovation and quality characteristic of our company were conserved, ANTONIO COSTA I MASSO, director of the new company, made the name PLANAS known beyond our frontiers, and start the expansion to the natural stone industry,

     The trend followed by MOSAICOS PLANAS has always consisted in advancing and becoming a leading firm, which has been possible thanks to the help of a human team made up of workers, clients, suppliers and collaborators; my thanks to of all them for their great cooperation.

     At the present the company is in its third generation, consolidated, in the present day, and together we will continue to fight for the future of this great company witch was started 70 years ago.
